Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Chief Engineer to join our facilities team in Fairless Hills, PA. You will act as the frontline escalation point and supervise hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to maintain uptime above 99.999% for mission-critical equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• 3+ years in a relevant technical position (or related military experience).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for facilities issues and oversee routine and emergency services.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures within SLA.
• Train and guide Engineering Operations Technicians and coordinate with Facility Manager (FM).
• Create and deploy standard practices for Engineers, Chief Engineers, and vendor teams.
• Assist in building new facilities and improve efficiency, including after-hours work as needed.
• Establish performance benchmarks and prepare reports on facility operations and maintenance.
