Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Chief Engineer to oversee electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems at our Clifton, Texas facility.

You will lead planned maintenance, handle daily incidents, and coordinate with Engineering Operations Technicians and vendors to keep critical infrastructure running. The role requires travel between data centers, strong leadership for facility teams, and the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for facilities-related issues and oversee routine and emergency services on critical systems.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and coordinate troubleshooting within SLAs.
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and coordinate with Facility Manager to set team culture.
• Create and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians and vendor support teams.
• Assist in expanding facilities and projects to increase current facility efficiency.
• Coordinate after-hours maintenance including emergency response as needed.
