Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Chief Engineer in Wink, TX to lead engineering operations for critical facilities. You will manage electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety systems and guide technicians and vendors in daily maintenance and emergency responses.

The role requires travel between data centers as needed, willingness to relocate for training, and a focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency in AWS infrastructure. Strong technical leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mission-critical facilities experience including industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for all facilities-related issues and oversee operation and maintenance of critical systems.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshoot facilities within SLA.
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and collaborate with the Facility Manager on team culture.
