Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Chief Engineer to ensure peak performance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems across a data center. You will lead maintenance, handle emergencies, and coordinate with technicians and vendors while maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance.

You will serve as the on-site SME for fire protection, analyze facility performance, and drive improvements in efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical facilities maintenance and 2+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience.
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for all facilities-related issues and oversee operation of critical systems.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshoot within SLA.
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and coordinate with Facility Manager.
