Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Sparks, NV is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including stand-by diesel generators and three-phase electrical systems.

You will monitor, operate, and support power, cooling, and fire/life safety systems to uphold 24/7 uptime. The role involves on-site work, travel between data centers as needed, and shifts up to 12 hours with possible on-call rotations.

Qualifications

Hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting in data-center environments.
Willingness to travel between data centers as needed.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and on-call rotations where required.
Lift up to 39 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and climbing.
Willingness to relocate with a lump-sum relocation stipend if eligible.

Responsibilities

Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
Monitor BMS and EPMS to ensure optimal performance.
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
Prepare technical documentation for change management.
