Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Sparks, NV is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance on generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems to help achieve 99.999% uptime.

The role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical work, site rounds, collaboration with contractors, and variable shifts, including long or overnight hours. Travel between data centers may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years' experience with Microsoft Office.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
