Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Sparks, Nevada, is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facilities, including standby generators, UPS/PDUs, chillers, and fire/life safety systems.

You will work with a diverse team to ensure 24/7 reliability and safety across multiple sites. The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance, ability to travel between data centers, and willingness to work a flexible schedule possibly including

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring work complies with practices and local law.
