Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician in Sparks, NV to help maintain critical infrastructure and ensure 24/7 uptime. You will work with electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshoot issues, and support a mission-critical data center environment.

Expect on-site work with potential travel between nearby facilities, flexible shifts up to 12 hours, and collaboration with vendors and contractors to keep systems running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 1+ years electrical or mechanical experience
• 1+ years of data center or mission-critical facilities experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with practices and local legislation.
• Shift work up to 12 hours and possible on-call rotations.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
