Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical infrastructure across AWS data centers. You will work with front-line staff on electrical and mechanical systems, ensure high uptime, and support site operations with skilled problem resolution, preventive maintenance, and documentation.

This role requires travel between data centers, flexible hours, and on-site work at multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance, or 2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance and 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance experience
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
