Job summary

Microvast, a leader in lithium-ion battery solutions, seeks a Business Development Manager for Data Center Energy Storage in Houston, TX. The role focuses on developing customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and forming strategic partnerships to promote Microvast battery systems for data center backup power, grid support, and energy resilience.

You will lead market development efforts, engage with data center owners, EPCs, and consultants, and drive go-to-market activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, engineering, electrical engineering, energy systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or key account management in data centers or energy storage.
• Strong understanding of data center power systems, backup power, UPS architecture, battery systems, and customer procurement.
• Ability to travel frequently for customer meetings, site visits, and events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with data center owners, hyperscalers, colocation companies, AI data center developers, cloud providers, and enterprises.
• Identify opportunities for Microvast battery systems in data center backup power, UPS integration, and high-power energy storage.
• Build relationships with facility executives, engineering consultants, EPC firms, electrical contractors, and procurement teams.
• Create and manage a qualified sales pipeline from initial contact through proposal, pilot, contract, and long-term supply agreements.
• Support market entry strategy, pricing models, partnerships, and customer value propositions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, manufacturing, legal, finance, and service teams to align needs with capabilities.
