Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a Senior Electrical Superintendent for a Data Center project valued between $5M and $50M. The role requires on-site leadership, coordination of trade contractors, and ownership of safety and schedule to ensure on-time completion.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 7–12 years of experience leading major commercial/industrial projects, with data center exposure preferred. OSHA 30 and STS-C certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
• 7-12 years leading a component of work or whole project on commercial/industrial construction (>$30M)
• OSHA 30-hour certified; STS-C certification; first aid, CPR, AED training

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and sub-contractors to meet the project schedule
• Develops, documents, and communicates field work plans
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems
• Obtains permits for construction purposes
• Maintains credibility with owners, trade contractors, unions, and project partners
• Acts as primary safety representative in the field and enforces safety compliance
• Leads contractor meetings and manages daily reports and project schedule
• Plans, coordinates, and manages jobsite logistics
• Develops and updates the QIC plan with Operations Excellence
• Trains direct reports on processes and completion of daily tasks
• Assists in time and materials tracking and buyout
