Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a Lead Superintendent - Data Center to independently manage all field operations on hyperscale data center projects. This role is on-site daily and will lead a team to deliver high-quality work on schedule.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, 7–12 years of superintendent experience on large commercial/industrial projects, hyperscale data center experience, OSHA 30 hours, STS-C, and strong safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 7-12 years of experience leading a component of work or whole project for a value of $50 million or larger on commercial/industrial construction project(s) in a superintendent role
• Hyperscale data center experience is required
• OSHA 30-hour certified
• STS-C Certification
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors to meet project schedule
• Develops, documents, and communicates the field work plan for changes
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems
• Obtains permits for construction purposes
• Establishes credibility among owners, trade contractors, unions, and partners
• Acts as primary safety representative in the field and enforces safety
• Leads contractor meetings regularly
• Maintains daily reports and documentation using software tools
• Creates and updates the project schedule with contingency plans
• Coordinates jobsite logistics and material scheduling
• Collaborates with Operations Excellence to implement QIC plan
• Trains direct reports and supports buyout and T&M tracking
