Job summary

Stantec in the United States is seeking an experienced MCF Electrical Project Designer/Engineer to deliver advanced electrical design within data center projects. You will collaborate with engineers, designers and clients to ensure accurate drawings, specs and deliverables that meet program goals.

You will guide designers, coordinate across disciplines, and contribute to QA/QC processes while staying current with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7+ years related industry experience; data center experience preferred.
• PE license or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develops advanced systems designs within own discipline with limited supervision.
• Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
• Prepares project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal.
• Assists in the evaluation and selection of electrical equipment.
• Coordinates with all disciplines to integrate design and client requests.
• Follows quality management process and QA/QC procedures.
• Reviews shop drawings, RFIs, site observation reports and punch lists.
• Assists Senior Project Engineer on project tasks and coordinates with Project Manager.
• Serves as electrical lead on projects as directed.
• Engages in data center engineering community for growth and education.
