Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Electrical Engineer (Field Engineering) to provide full life-cycle support for AWS Data Centers, from design through maintenance. You will troubleshoot, perform RCAs, and develop corrective actions, while leading upgrades to increase capacity and efficiency across regions.

You will collaborate with operations, design, server hardware, and safety teams, and may lead audits and field deployments, balancing field work with strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Experience with data analytics and data querying to handle large datasets.
• Ability to script and automate workflows for engineering tasks.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• TROUBLESHOOT, conduct RCA and create corrective action documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training, SOP reviews, including critical equipment.
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to add capacity and improve efficiency.
• Interface with data center operations, design, server hardware, safety teams to promote standards.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers.
• Lead engineering audits and on-site visits; produce risk reports with mitigations.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects; support commissioning and turnover.
