Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing group to support data center facilities engineering, design and construction. The role offers location flexibility across the U.S.

with a hybrid work arrangement, split between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations. You will design power distribution, UPS, grounding, lighting, and low‑voltage communications for large facilities, review packages, interact with clients and contractors, and manage quality, scope, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems.
• Experience with industrial facility design.
• Experience with Revit or BIM software.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design data center power distribution systems, UPS, and emergency systems.
• Contribute to team technical collaboration and design package reviews.
• Interact with client, owner, and contractors to support construction on site.
• Manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule within projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
