Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to lead design documentation and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with electrical leads and multi-discipline teams. You will create and coordinate 3D models across disciplines and produce 2D drawings aligned with Jacobs and client standards.

Ideal candidates have strong Revit/AutoCAD experience, familiarity with Navisworks and Bluebeam, and a track record of accurate, detail-oriented design work within data center environments.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical systems design and construction.
• Understanding of codes and standards shaping design decisions.
• Understanding of design/specifications and their function.
• Basic wiring/cabling knowledge.
• Experience following client standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours for design/modeled work.

Responsibilities

• Design documentation for electrical BIM in coordination with team leads.
• Set up and manage Revit BIM models.
• Produce 3D models and 2D construction drawings.
• Coordinate with designers, architects and engineers.
• Ensure models are clash-free and meet client BIM standards.
