Job summary

CloudHQ is seeking a Development Manager (Data Center) to lead end-to-end DC development projects in Ashburn, VA. You will oversee campus planning, entitlement, design, permitting, and handoff to Construction, coordinating with customers, engineers, architects, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Development, Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in real estate development, project management, construction management, and/or design management, preferably within data centers, mission-critical facilities, or other complex environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing external consultants, contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accountability for data center development projects from campus planning through entitlement, design, permitting, and handoff to Construction.
• Drive campus planning, design, and permitting across multiple projects while maintaining alignment with CloudHQ standards, customer requirements, and business objectives.
• Develop and actively manage project budgets, schedules, and key development milestones to enable successful project execution and delivery; drive teams to meet milestones.
• Lead procurement for external consultants, including preparation of RFPs, evaluation of proposals, contract negotiations, and consultant selection.
• Maintain ownership and drive timely decision-making for project outcomes while coordinating across diverse cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Lead and maintain accountability for the design process and development of construction documents, including specifications, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Drive utilities planning and coordination to support project timelines.
