Job summary

STACK Infrastructure is seeking an Assistant Critical Operations Manager to help run a local data center campus. You will support the Critical Operations Manager across electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, and base building systems while implementing safety, availability, and knowledge programs.

You''ll lead training, manage CAPEX/OPEX at the site, and drive maintenance, vendor contracts, budgeting, and on-call support to maintain reliability in a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4–5 years in a data center or mission critical operations role.
• Knowledge of data center environments and telecoms.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Vendor and project management experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under stress.
• Familiarity with NFPA fire life safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement a culture of safe operations across STACK data centers.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems.
• Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal conditions in the facility.
• Drive site energy efficiency and maintain PUE targets.
• Oversee maintenance programs, vendor relations, and procurement processes.
• Support site budgeting and forecasting for CapEx and OpEx.
• Create detailed procedures for maintenance and emergencies.
• Mentor junior staff and manage audits to ensure compliance.
