Job summary

STACK Infrastructure US is seeking a Critical Operations Manager to lead data center operations at Elk Grove Village, IL. You will oversee mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, and base-building systems to ensure uptime and efficiency.

You will drive site-level preventive maintenance, manage CapEx/OpEx budgets, lead a team, and coordinate vendor contracts while upholding STACK’s safety standards and incident response practices.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years experience in a data center or mission-critical operations role.
• 3-5 years experience administering and managing facility preventative maintenance programs.
• 3-5 years experience in vendor and project management.
• Knowledge of data center (hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation) industries.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and data center monitoring systems.
• Strong ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement a standardized safety culture across STACK data centers.
• Serve as data center subject matter expert for electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, and other systems.
• Advise on preventative and corrective maintenance programs at the site level.
• Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal conditions in the facility.
• Develop site budgets and forecast for CapEx and OpEx.
• Train and mentor junior staff; manage vendor relationships and service contracts.
