Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to support cost management on a large-scale construction program. The role spans preconstruction through project completion, delivering estimating, procurement, cost control, change management and commercial oversight.

Responsibilities include advising clients, developing estimates, reporting costs and managing risk, budgets and invoicing throughout the project lifecycle, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• Experience on large, complex projects; ROIs and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Advise on strategies, prequalify vendors, assess proposals and bids; chair bid interviews and manage appointments.
• Develop and review project estimates for construction, fees and direct costs; present to client.
• Establish cost reporting schedules; review forecasts and budgets with client; maintain risk register.
• Oversee cost control processes; review payment assessments, change orders and contractor entitlements.
• Monitor invoicing; benchmark performance; conduct post-contract audits and closeouts.
