Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to support cost management on a large-scale, mission-critical data center project in the United States. You will oversee estimating, procurement, cost control, change management and commercial oversight from preconstruction through project completion in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a 3–5 year background in cost management for complex construction, with strong communication and vendor management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• Experience on large, complex commercial, industrial or technology construction projects.
• RICS accreditation is valuable.
• Construction consultancy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
• Experience with estimating, cost planning, change management, and project controls.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, manage vendor prequalification, evaluate bids, and chair interviews.
• Develop full-project estimates and present to client with value engineering.
• Establish cost reporting; review budgets and forecasts with client.
• Oversee cost control: review payments, change orders, and disputes.
• Manage invoicing process and project commercial risk.
• Benchmark performance and conduct final accounting and audits.
• Lead post-contract reviews and training material development.
• Develop handover procedures.
• Utilize Bid Analysis, Change Control, Estimating and Take-off tools.
• SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
