Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to join our U.S. team and support the delivery of a large-scale, complex data center construction program.

This role will act as the key day-to-day client interface, ensuring client objectives are achieved through the delivery of value-added cost management services across the full project lifecycle. To be successful, you must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, able to work independently

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of cost management experience in the construction industry.
• RICS accreditation preferred or working towards it.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects with high complexity.
• Experience supporting data center or mission-critical construction projects is advantageous.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning, including final cost plan presentations.
• Collaborate with design teams and GC on cost estimates development.
• Reconcile changes and assist GC to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare cost estimates updates from status information with project managers.
• Coordinate sources of cost information for discussions with suppliers and subs.
• Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
• Manage cost checks and valuations on large projects with timely reporting.
