Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to support cost management on a large-scale data center construction program. The role spans preconstruction to project completion, delivering estimating, procurement, cost control, change management and commercial oversight in a fast-paced setting.

The candidate will develop project estimates, review vendor proposals, maintain cost reporting, and manage change orders while ensuring SOX controls where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in cost management for construction projects.
• Experience on large, complex, mission-critical or technology-related construction programs; RICS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies and manage vendor prequalification and bids.
• Develop project estimates covering construction, fees, and other costs.
• Present estimates, value engineering recommendations, and risk assessments.
• Maintain cost reports and forecasts with client; manage risk register.
• Review payment applications and change orders with contractors.
• Lead final accounting, post-contract audits and closeouts.
• Conduct post-contract reviews and develop training materials.
• Ensure SOX controls are followed where applicable.
