Job summary

KALCON is seeking a Cost Manager (Owner's Representative) to manage budgets, pay applications, EAC/forecasting, and change management across data center construction projects. Based in Houston, TX, this role collaborates with the Director of Construction, PMs, procurement, cost consultants, and GC to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.

Required 3+ years in construction cost management, a relevant bachelor's degree, and proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost management for construction projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in CM, engineering, finance, or related field.
• Proficient in Procore, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PM tools.
• Ability to read drawings, specs and contracts with accuracy.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, reporting and cost analysis.
• Strong leadership and collaboration; familiar with codes and standards.
• Willing to visit job sites and coordinate with PMs, engineers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Assembles project proforma with the team and stakeholders.
• Reviews GMP pricing and pre-construction budget updates.
• Facilitates cost touchpoints with consultants and CM cost managers.
• Oversees allowances, buyouts and cost control strategies.
