Job summary

KALCON is seeking a Cost Manager to lead project budgets, pay apps, EAC/forecasting, and change management across data center construction programs. You will collaborate with the Director of Construction, PMs, procurement, cost consultants, and the GC to maintain financial accuracy and strong controls in Procore and related tools.

The role requires 3+ years in construction cost management, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Procore and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost management experience on construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in CM, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• Skilled with Procore, MS Office, and project management tools; strong communication skills.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and contracts with accuracy.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering.
• Leadership and teamwork; familiarity with codes and industry standards.
• Willingness to visit job sites and collaborate with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assemble project proforma with the team and subcontractors.
• Review budget updates and GMP pricing.
• Facilitate cost touchpoints with cost consultants and CM cost managers.
• Oversee allowance and buyout tracking and cost-control strategies.
• Prepare EACs and forecasts in Procore; provide monthly updates.
• Manage spend, financial validations, and forecast expenditures.
• Review change orders and oversee risk assessment and audits.
• Coordinate with procurement for cost-effective purchasing and vendor negotiations.
• Produce monthly and ad-hoc financial reports and improve processes.
