Job summary

KALCON is hiring a Project Manager (Owner's Representative) for data center construction in Houston, TX. The role requires 7–10+ years delivering complex facilities, with oversight of schedule, cost, quality, safety, design coordination, permitting, and turnover.

The candidate will liaison between owners, contractors, consultants, and vendors. Minimum qualifications include a construction management or engineering degree and strong client relations, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
• 7–10 years in design or construction; labs/data center/critical facility experience.
• PMP/CCM/PE license a plus.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
• Strong client relations and people management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to identify issues and respond proactively.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review CM monthly forecast.
• Hold weekly CPM schedule review meetings.
• Attend CM/subcontractor planning meetings.
• Manage OFCI equipment schedule and vendor start-up.
• Coordinate commissioning and IT/vendor schedules.
• Oversee cost processes: pay apps, change orders, VE recommendations.
• Oversee QA/QC, safety, and field coordination.
• Lead design coordination and customer fit-out integration.
• Manage permit process and occupancy certifications.
