Turner & Townsend seeks a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management across a multi‑phase hyperscale data center program. The role is based in the Chicago area with monthly travel to a project site near St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• Travel to St. Louis, MO area monthly for 2–3 days.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
• 6-7 years of cost management / project controls experience on medium‑to‑large, complex projects.
• Data center or mission‑critical/industrial project experience preferred.
• Consultancy experience; procurement, commercial management, contracts, change, and risk knowledge.
• Experience in estimating, cost planning, budgeting, reporting, and cost control systems.
• RICS accreditation (or working toward it) preferred.
• Excellent client‑facing communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day cost management across a multi-phase data center program.
• Develop estimates and cost plans through design milestones.
• Provide commercial input to design optioneering and VE.
• Support procurement strategy and contract administration; review pricing.
• Produce timely monthly cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to tool/template improvements.
