Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a highly motivated Cooling System Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of cooling infrastructure for hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation data center projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create efficient, reliable, and sustainable thermal management solutions that meet performance and energy targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC, mission-critical facilities, or data center infrastructure design.
• Experience performing HVAC load calculations and system sizing.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, HVAC modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for data center cooling systems.
• Design and optimize chilled water, direct expansion (DX), liquid cooling, air-side and water-side economization systems.
• Perform cooling load calculations and thermal analyses for white space, support spaces, and critical infrastructure areas.
• Develop HVAC system layouts, piping schematics, flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Evaluate emerging cooling technologies, including direct-to-chip and immersion cooling solutions.
