Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Cooling System Design Engineer to develop and deliver cooling infrastructure for hyperscale and enterprise data center projects. You will craft chilled water, DX, and liquid cooling solutions, performing load calculations and thermal analyses to meet performance and sustainability goals.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, review vendor submittals, and support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities to ensure on-time, within-budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of HVAC or data center design experience.
• Experience performing HVAC load calculations and system sizing.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and HVAC modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Cooling System Design: Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for data center cooling systems.
• Engineering & Technical Analysis: Perform sizing calculations and CFD/thermal analyses to validate performance.
• Project Delivery: Support design reviews, coordination, and vendor submittals throughout project phases.
• Sustainability & Energy Efficiency: Design with energy efficiency and PUE optimization in mind.
• Documentation & Standards: Prepare calculations, specs, and design documentation.
