Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Cooling System Design Engineer to design, develop, and deliver cooling infrastructure for hyperscale and enterprise data center projects. You will develop efficient, reliable thermal management solutions and collaborate with vendors and project teams to meet performance and sustainability goals.

The role emphasizes CFD analyses, system sizing, and cross-functional coordination across electrical, mechanical, and controls disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC, mission-critical facilities, or data center infrastructure design.
• 1+ years of experience performing HVAC load calculations and system sizing.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for data center cooling systems.
• Design and optimize chilled water, DX, liquid cooling, and economization systems.
• Perform cooling load calculations and thermal analyses for white space and critical areas.
• Prepare design documentation and vendor submittals; support procurement and commissioning.
