Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Cooling System Design Engineer in Junction City, OR to design and deliver cooling infrastructure for hyperscale and enterprise data centers. You will develop conceptual to detailed designs for chilled water, DX, liquid cooling, and energy-efficient systems, collaborating across disciplines and vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC or data center infrastructure design.
• Experience performing HVAC load calculations and system sizing.
• Proficiency with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms.
• Familiarity with CFD tools and energy efficiency optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for data center cooling systems.
• Design and optimize chilled water, DX, liquid cooling, and economization systems.
• Perform cooling load calculations and thermal analyses for spaces.
• Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and design documentation.
• Review vendor submittals, shop drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, and commissioning.
