Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Controls Manager to lead the building automation and power monitoring deployments in our data centers.

You will manage a technically skilled team, drive project scope, schedules, and vendor coordination while aligning controls strategy with business goals. The role requires a mechanical/electrical background, 8+ years of controls experience, and proven leadership across large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering plus 8+ years of relevant controls experience, OR 12+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of experience directly managing, mentoring, leading, and coaching teams of controls professionals.
• 4+ years of controls management on large, complex projects involving mechanical, electrical and controls systems.
• 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience related to controls and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Implement and track team goals; report status to leadership.
• Develop launch plans for new hires and identify team needs.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot BMS/EPMS or industrial controls systems.
• Read and interpret electrical/control diagrams and building operations schematics.
• Develop drawings for control panels, power distribution, and wiring diagrams.
• Develop logic diagrams for PLCs and DCS.
• Coordinate project work across internal and external teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
