Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Controls Engineer to join the Data Center Engineering team. You will ensure operational integrity of critical data center infrastructure systems powering the world’s largest cloud platform.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining electrical, mechanical and control systems, performing root cause analyses, and leading maintenance programs. Collaborate across engineering, operations, and construction for capacity delivery and reliability

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience in commissioning.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical data center infrastructure including electrical, mechanical, and control systems to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
• Perform root cause analysis on infrastructure failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all data center critical systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and construction teams to support capacity delivery and infrastructure improvements.
• Develop and refine SOPs and EOPs for infrastructure systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and safety across the data center portfolio.
• Support commissioning and validation activities for new infrastructure deployments and upgrades.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
