Job summary

Mantis Innovation seeks a Controls Application Engineer to develop BMS/SCADA applications at supervisory and controller levels, refine standards, and provide remote support to project and field teams.

You will join the Controls Engineering group, collaborating across multiple platforms and ensuring robust engineering practices, with a focus on mission-critical environments and cross-functional cooperation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering, preferably Building Automation or Controls Engineering.
• 5+ years of BMS/SCADA application development experience, with mission-critical experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DDC control theory & HVAC applications.
• Basic networking knowledge; addressing & subnetting, IP + serial device configurations.
• Experience with industry standard protocol integrations: BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, SNMP, MQTT.
• 2+ years of Ignition platform experience (Ignition Core certification preferred).
• Familiarity with Distech field controllers and GFX programming, Ignition SCADA, Wonderware, and PLC systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop BMS applications across multiple platforms (Niagara, Ignition, Wonderware, Distech, PLCs).
• Provide remote technical support to Project Managers and Field Engineers.
• Help refine engineering standards for programming, graphics, alarming, tagging, history management, and database creation.
• Support cross-functional engineering activities within the Controls Engineering group.
