Job summary

Mantis Innovation is seeking a Controls Application Engineer to develop BMS/SCADA applications at supervisory and controller levels, and to refine engineering standards while providing remote support to project and field teams. Experience with DDC/HVAC concepts, BACnet/Modbus, and graphical front-end interfaces is required.

You will work with Niagara, Ignition, Wonderware, Distech, and PLC platforms, and collaborate with Project Managers and Field Engineers to deliver mission-critical automation

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering, preferably Building Automation or Controls Eng.
• 5+ years BMS/SCADA app development, mission-critical exp preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DDC/HVAC concepts and their real-world application.
• Basic networking: addressing, subnetting, IP/serial configs.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, SNMP, MQTT protocols.
• 2+ years Ignition platform experience; Ignition Core cert preferred.
• Familiarity with Distech field controllers, GFX programming, Ignition SCADA, Wonderware, PLCs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop BMS apps across platforms (Niagara, Ignition, Wonderware, Distech, PLCs).
• Support engineering standards for programming, graphics, alarms, tagging, history, databases.
• Provide remote technical support to project managers and field engineers during projects.
