Job summary

Mantis Innovation in Dallas, TX is seeking a Controls Application Engineer to develop BMS/SCADA applications at supervisory and controller levels. You will refine engineering standards, provide remote project support, and collaborate across controls teams on DDC/HVAC projects.

Candidates should have 10+ years in engineering, 5+ years in BMS/SCADA, strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, and hands-on Ignition experience (Ignition Core cert preferred).

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering, preferably Building Automation or Controls.
• 5+ years BMS/SCADA app development, mission-critical experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DDC control theory & HVAC applications.
• 2+ years Ignition platform experience; Ignition Core certification preferred.
• Familiar with BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, SNMP, MQTT.

Responsibilities

• Develop BMS/SCADA applications across platforms (Niagara, Ignition, Wonderware, Distech, PLCs).
• Provide remote technical support to Project Managers and Field Engineers during projects.
• Develop and enforce engineering standards for programming, graphics, alarms, tagging, history, and databases.
• Support multiple engineering functions within the Controls Engineering group.
