Job summary

Mantis Innovation is seeking a Controls Application Engineer to develop BMS/SCADA applications at supervisory and controller levels. You will help refine engineering standards, provide remote support to project and field teams, and collaborate across multiple engineering functions within Controls Engineering.

We value 10+ years in building automation, strong BMS/SCADA experience, and expertise with Ignition and other controls platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering, preferably Building Automation or Controls Engineering.
• 5+ years of BMS/SCADA application development experience, with mission critical experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DDC control theory & HVAC applications.
• Basic networking knowledge; addressing & subnetting, IP + serial device configurations.
• Comfortable with BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, SNMP, MQTT integrations.
• Experience with servers, network equipment, and IoT practices for BMS.
• 2+ years of Ignition platform experience (Ignition Core certification preferred).
• Familiarity with Distech field controllers and GFX programming, Ignition SCADA, Wonderware, PLC systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop BMS applications across multiple platforms (e.g., Niagara, Ignition, Wonderware, Distech, PLCs).
• Support development and enforcement of engineering standards for programming, graphics, alarming, tagging, history management, and database creation.
• Provide remote technical support to Project Managers and Field Engineers during project execution.
• Refine engineering processes and collaborate across Controls Engineering functions.
