Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer within the Fleet Remediation Engineering (FRE) team to lead the design, specification, and implementation of BMS/EPMS controls for data center retrofit projects.

You will bridge mechanical/electrical retrofit design with controls integration, ensuring upgraded systems are monitored, controlled, and optimized across the fleet. The role blends deep controls expertise with mission-critical facility goals.

Qualifications

4+ years of engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power, etc.).
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering, or 5+ years equivalent.
2+ years experience with data center control systems (BMS/EPMS).
2+ years experience with HVAC and electrical distribution systems; reading one-line diagrams.

Responsibilities

Lead controls design and integration for retrofit projects, ensuring BMS/EPMS are specified, programmed, and commissioned.
Develop and maintain controls standards, specifications, and SOWs for fleet remediation retrofit projects.
Collaborate with FRE engineers, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to deliver integrated controls solutions.
Serve as central technical authority for BMS/EPMS within FRE and manage controls scope across projects.
