Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead BMS/EPMS retrofit controls across its data center fleet. You will bridge mechanical/electrical retrofit design with controls integration, ensuring upgraded systems are properly monitored and optimized at scale.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, construction, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions and maintain design standards for global fleet remediation projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Engineering, or 5+ years in building automation systems (BMS) and/or EPMS design/deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls design and integration for mechanical and electrical retrofit projects across the data center fleet, ensuring BMS and EPMS are specified, programmed, and commissioned.
• Develop and maintain controls design standards, specifications, and scope of work documents for fleet remediation retrofit projects.
• Collaborate with FRE engineers and operations teams to deliver integrated controls solutions.
• Serve as the central technical authority for BMS/EPMS controls within FRE and manage scope across retrofit projects.
• Perform controls design reviews, identify risks, and propose optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate with controls vendors and programmers on bid reviews, RFIs, and code reviews.
