Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer for its AWS Infrastructure Services. The role is based on-site in New Carlisle, IN, and centers on leading cross-functional teams, coordinating with GCs and vendors, and ensuring timely, quality delivery of data center construction.

You will manage RFIs, change orders, and design modifications while maintaining rigorous documentation and safety standards, supporting cost-effective, reliable infrastructure for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant discipline work experience required.
• 4+ years of experience constructing and managing complex MEP systems in mission-critical environments.
• 3+ years of experience managing general contractors and vendors, including RFPs, bidding, change orders, and RFIs.

Responsibilities

• Leading cross-functional communication between regional GCs, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Developing tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders with dashboards for leadership review.
• Evaluating Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk.
• Managing vendor onboarding, including security credentialing and orientation.
• Maintaining project management software with milestone updates and document control.
• Coordinating owner-furnished material deliveries to ensure timely arrival at sites.
• Establishing a centralized repository for contractor-supplied construction data.
• Overseeing QA programs with checklists for substantial completion, safety, and QC.
