Job summary

QTS is seeking a Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction MEPR) to lead design, preconstruction and construction for select projects. You will coordinate with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Operations to ensure successful delivery.

The role focuses on budget, schedule, and master development planning, with strong interaction across stakeholders and a drive for timely, quality outcomes in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five+ years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and project delivery methods.
• Experience with MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel for executive updates.
• Willingness to travel as needed for the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, preconstruction and construction activities on projects.
• Maintain budgets, schedules and status reports for each project.
• Create executive updates on program status for reviews.
• Develop master development programs for sites and budgets.
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs for site projects.
• Write scopes of work and participate in procurement and cost estimates.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with procurement on equipment delivery.
• Coordinate submittals with site stakeholders.
• Track project budgets and cost-to-date.
• Establish schedules and manage teams to on-time completion.
• Review pay apps and change orders with contractors.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent

MBA

Masters in Engineering or Management
