Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Manager of Construction, Data Center Construction, in New Florence, MO. You will lead construction management for new builds and capital projects, coordinating with Operations, Networking, and Security to deliver energy-efficient data centers.

The role requires strong vendor management and RFP/bid experience, with a focus on cost, schedule, and quality. You will manage multiple sites and guide a high-performing team in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience.
• 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management work with construction/project execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data center operations ( feeders, transformers, gensets, switches, UPS, ATS, PDUs, chillers, pumps, AHUs, CRAC).
• Experience in management and as a general contractor with RFP, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFIs/submittals.
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction of new builds or capital projects.
• Oversee construction-related activities and construction management.
• Collaborate with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers.
• Represent Amazon on construction sites daily, interfacing with trades.
• Lead your discipline (construction management, electrical, mechanical, or building services).
• Interface with contractors during bidding, awards, execution, punch-list, closeout.
