Job summary

Jacobs in Nashville, TN, seeks the Manager of Construction (MOC) — Data Center Operations to lead delivery of a large EPCM portfolio for a Tier-1 data center client, interfacing between projects and the business and ensuring successful construction management and project closeout.

You will collaborate with sales on pre-construction and contract negotiations, oversee staffing and training, and drive safety, quality, and delivery improvements across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience managing construction projects for data centers, industrial or commercial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of pre-design, building systems, contract management, and project delivery methods.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, values, and mitigate risk and issues.
• Experience leading site managers and construction teams on multiple projects.
• Experience leading very-large-scale green-field projects.
• Ability to manage trade partners at principal levels.
• Commitment to safety and QA/QC procedures.
• Familiarity with Polaris, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and related construction software.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver EPCMV data center projects from inception to closeout.
• Interface between projects and the business; support sales with pre-construction activities.
• Manage staffing, performance reviews, training, and career development of CM staff.
• Oversee safety, cost, schedule, quality, and client issues; participate in gate reviews.
