Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Data Center Construction Manager to lead electrical and mechanical systems for new and existing data centers. You will be on-site daily, drive cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning teams.

You will act as the owner’s representative, negotiating with general contractors, reviewing bids, and ensuring constructability and safety compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience moving design concepts to deployment.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Windows.
• Experience with power management systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals.
• Create construction project scope and RFPs.
• Financial analysis of construction.
• Project management for data center resiliency initiatives.
• Constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs.
• Document management including submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoicing.
• Quality control of construction.
• Report key construction metrics to team and management.
• Lead teams in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Lead within group and partner teams.
