Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager in Dallas, TX to lead on-site construction of mission-critical data centers, working with Operations, Networking, and Security to deliver energy-efficient, cost-effective facilities.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality, direct GC/vendors, review designs, and drive root-cause analysis while fostering an inclusive, high-performance team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction management of large, complex MEP projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or 12+ years of equivalent experience.
• 8+ years managing contractors and vendors on construction projects.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with general contractors across bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy and manage project scope.
• Create construction scope and RFIs, and review submittals and change orders.
• Perform financial analysis and manage budgets for data-center initiatives.
• Lead root-cause analysis and troubleshoot equipment failures on site.
• Ensure quality control and report key construction metrics to leadership.
