Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager in Texas to lead on-site construction activities for new data centers. You will partner with Operations, Networking, Controls and Security to drive cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating with contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable infrastructure (preferred).

Responsibilities

Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
Perform financial analysis of construction.
Manage projects to increase data center resiliency.
Review electrical and mechanical designs for constructability and optimization.
Manage construction documents including submittal reviews and RFIs.
