Job summary

ABB is seeking a leader for the Data Center Services Center of Excellence in the United States. You will manage day-to-day service activities for the Data Center segment within Electrification Services, with ownership of surge team development and cross-team collaboration.

The role emphasizes safety, customer focus, and continuous improvement, requiring up to 50% travel and US work authorization. Remote work is possible from various US time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business or commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of Data Center Start-up and Commissioning strategies and field service personnel development.
• Knowledge of MS Project, Google Workspace, SAP and project issue resolution software (BIM, Compass, CxAlloy, Procore, etc.).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Technical understanding of power delivery equipment (transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays).
• Commitment to safety and environmental regulations; strong leadership and customer focus.
• Willing to travel up to 50% of time; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Improves service availability, quality, and customer experience across field service operations.
• Develops, implements, and reviews field service strategy aligned with global objectives.
• Ensures customer focus and urgency in service interactions to drive retention.
• Drives continuous improvement and KPI-based performance management.
• Identifies onsite opportunities to enhance customer operations and communicates them to account teams.
• Leads a culture of operational excellence and end-to-end service delivery.
• Oversees Surge Team operations, onboarding, training, compliance, and timesheet validation.
• Provides leadership and development for Field Service Engineers/Technicians.
• Collaborates across ABB teams to assign personnel, resolve issues, and drive improvements.
