Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Manager, Chief Engineer to lead 24/7 operation of a large data center campus in Phoenix, AZ. You will supervise Senior Specialists and Facility Technicians, manage maintenance, repairs, testing, and commissioning, and report to Operations and Engineering Directors.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical facilities, leadership ability, and strong communication. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on maintenance/repair/installation/commissioning experience in mission-critical facilities (mechanical and/or electrical)
• At least 2 years of leadership/management experience with project management
• Understanding of 2N Data Center/Critical Facility infrastructure, systems, operations, maintenance and emergency responses
• Strong technical writing skills and experience with SOPs/MOPs/EOPs for critical facilities equipment

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7 operation of facility equipment and systems to ensure reliability.
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians, including performance appraisals and training.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair work on electrical distribution, generators, UPS, HVAC, BMS and related systems.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and procurement of parts and services within approved plans.
• Develop and implement SOPs/EOPs for equipment and systems across the campus.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and EPA/environmental guidelines.
