Job summary

Vantage Data Centers in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Manager, Chief Engineer to lead the 24/7 operation of a large Tier III data center campus. You will manage a team of Senior Level Specialists (Electrical and Mechanical) and Facility Technicians, coordinating with the Director of Operations and Engineering to ensure uptime and performance for customer installations.

Qualifications

Minimum ten years of hands-on maintenance/repair/installation/commissioning in mission-critical facilities.
At least two years of leadership/management experience.
Understanding of 2N Data Center/Critical Facility infrastructure and operations.
Strong technical writing skills and experience with MOP/EOP/SOPs.
Excellent customer service and ability to engage customers on-site.

Responsibilities

Oversee and supervise 24/7/365 operation of facility equipment and systems.
Strive for zero downtime through reliable system performance.
Lead and mentor Senior Specialists and Technicians; coordinate with contracted teams.
Develop and manage budgets; supervise purchasing of parts and services.
Ensure maintenance in accordance with MOPs and safety regulations.
Coordinate development and training of SOP/EOP/MOPs across the campus.
