Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Chief Engineer to lead electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems across a data center.

The role covers planned maintenance, emergency response, and expert coordination with Engineering Operations Technicians and vendors to ensure peak facility performance. You will drive safety compliance, optimize reliability, and partner with IT and operations teams to balance capacity and cost.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for facilities-related issues.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of critical systems (switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, etc.).
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and vendor teams.
